Confined.work

July 2020

When I was confined I wondered if our physical bodies mutated into a network of bubbles

For the virtual group exhibition confined.work of confined spaces I made a contribution with a 360 photo, soundscape and text reflecting on the topic of confinement. In this born-digital gallery, the visitor is invited into our homes within its current production site.

During our isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shift to the digital landscape has accelerated along a curve as exponential as the virus itself. Public spaces and social functions have moved into the virtual realm and reach us only through our technical devices. What was meant to exist physically is forced to be digital, including ourselves and our thoughts.

Participants were matched with a donation for Habitat Humanity, to those who don’t have a safe shelter.

The project was initiated by Batlabat, Mikaela Steby Stenfalk, Jonas Ersland, Post Neon and Arvid&Marie, presented with TAC Eindhoven and Art+Technology Society.
